If a participant does not earn the maximum amount of credit available for a MOC activity, can we award the “partial credit”?

Yes! Providers can report less-than-full learner engagement in an activity.  Learner engagement can be reported in 15-minute increments (.25 as a quarter hour) and most boards allow for this to be reported multiple times within the same activity, if needed.  The two exceptions are the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) and the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) which only permit one completion date per activity per learner.  For these two boards, ensure that the completion date is not the same for each instance.
