The ACCME allows for feedback to be provided in several ways. A common way is to use evaluation results as feedback. This takes place by correcting incorrect responses, providing learners with the correct response, and then also providing an explanation as to why that answer is the best. This can be done live (during the activity) or after the fact. Another feedback option during a live activity is a case study in which faculty share with learners the decisions they made in a specific situation and the ensuing outcomes of that situation. The appropriateness of the case outcome is considered by the ACCME to be feedback to participants.
